When we did an activity on taxes, it visualized what was going on in the 1700’s. Every time the king said something the colonists had they had to pay a certain amount of money (or green mints). I learned that it was not fair for the colonists to pay money because they had something. It is very unfair to have to do something like that and not get to choose to pay or not.
