Conquering The Yeti

It was all going so fast and it was just the beginning. I was so scared, maybe even petrified! I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn’t budge!

Waiting in line for that ride was so hard! People laughing, screaming even playing games! I decided to relax and not think about the ride. We got up to the top and there were people everywhere! I could see the ride from where I was standing. Finally we got up to the gates. I pulled my mom down to my level and whispered “ Do we have to do this?” She didn’t reply just smiled. “Maybe after this we’ll do Rockin’ Rollercoaster! “Yea maybe,” I said under my breath.

Then we were next.
My heart was pounding, my brain thinking, I was out of control. It was our turn and I almost couldn’t breathe. We stepped in the cart, put our things in the basket and buckled up. Dad was chuckling, Mom was smiling and I was smiling too, but crying inside.

Then he did it! I can’t believe he pressed go! We started. In the beginning, it was like a mini ride. Then we went up, up, up.

Finally, we approached the top and went down, around, and all over! Then we stopped went backwards, and I wasn’t so scared anymore.

When we got off I realized that I went on Expedition Everest and conquered the Yeti! Fears are like monsters. You can conquer them but the story will live on with you forever. Face your fears and live life to the fullest!
